AAC’s Stainless Steel Moisture Barrier Coil is manufactured from Stainless steel Type 304 and 316 prime grade austenitic stainless steel with a regular 2B mill finish for flatness and reduced glare.

AAC’s stainless steel roll jacketing is manufactured from Stainless steel Type 304 and 316 prime grade austenitic stainless steel with a regular 2B mill finish for flatness and reduced glare. The yield strength is 30,000 PSI and the tensile strength is 75,000 PSI. For easy field fabrication, AAC offers stainless steel jacketing in the annealed or soft condition. AAC’s 304 and 316 stainless steel jacketing adhere to the ASTM A240 and A666 standards. AAC’s stainless steel jacketing has a melting point of approximately 2500? F. Stainless steel offers the best fire protection of all metals.


Available dimensions:

AAC offers Stainless Steel grades in various thickness ranging from in thickness of 0.25–1.5mm. Standard widths available are 914mm, 1000mm, 1219mm, while other widths are also available on special orders for which minimums may apply.

Polysurlyn Moisture Barrier (PSMB) is an engineered three layer coextruded film of polyethylene and DuPont™ Surlyn® polymers with a total film thickness of 3 mils (76 μm).PSMB is heat laminated in the factory to the interior surface of all types of metal jacketing for mechanical insulation to help prevent pitting, crevice, and galvanic corrosion of the interior surface of the metal jacketing and the underlying
insulated pipe, tank, or equipment. Conforms to BS 476 : Part 7 : 1997 Surface Spread of Flame Class 1


Polykraft:

Polykraft consists of one layer of one mil polyethylene film with a protective layer of 40# virgin kraft paper.The moisture barrier is factory applied by attaching the jacketing by continuous lamination to the full width of the metal. The moisture barrier is used to prevent moisture and corrosives in the insulation from coming into direct contact with the metal jacketing surface and causing galvanic or chemical corrosion.

Aluzinc Moisture Barrier Coil is a flat carbon steel product coated on both sides with an aluminium-zinc alloy. The coating is composed of 55% aluminium, 43.4% zinc and 1.6% silicon and applied by means of a continuous hot dip galvanizing process. Aluzinc available in a wide range of steel grades: The excellent corrosion resistance of Aluzinc a result of the properties of its two metallic constituents: the barrier effect of the aluminium present on the surface of the coating and the sacrificial protection of zinc. The characteristic spangled silver color of Aluzinc gives it a very attractive appearance. Thanks to a thin transparent layer of aluminium oxide on the top surface of the coating, this appearance is preserved over time.

Aluzinc® offers additional advantages: Good corrosion resistance at high temperatures good abrasion resistance because of its surface hardness excellent thermal and light reflectivity. It can be used as insulation jacketing, ships interior cladding and sound proofing cabins. Due to it’s steel base material, it is suitable for fire hazardous area’s in petrochemical plants.

Everlast, a Hindalco brand, launched in December 2002, is made of aluminium and is ideal for all roofing and cladding needs. It is easy to use, durable and economical to work with. Using aluminium for roofing has many benefits. Some of them are the following: Aluminium roofing sheets are extremely light and have a high strength-to-weight ratio. Aluminium is an increasingly popular choice for use in installations and buildings. It is corrosion-resistant in almost any kind of environment. Even in highly corrosive industrial environments, it is resistant to fumes and vapours of organic compounds and to chemicals like ammonia, carbon dioxide and acids such as hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and sulphuric acid. Such corrosion resistance gives the metal a long life and keeps it looking good throughout its life. The shine and brightness of aluminium livens its surroundings, and, because it doesn't stain, discolour or rot, it keeps its brightness and shine for a long time. Aluminium corrugated sheets can take a variety of finishes, colours and textures, which protect them and further enhance their appearance. An aluminium structure can be easily dismantled, transported and re-assembled in a new location. Though the metal is a good conductor of heat, its high reflectivity for radiant heat and light (75 to 80 per cent when new, 60 per cent after several years) keeps the interiors of aluminium building from five to eight degrees celsius cooler in summer, while its low emission rate cuts heat loss in winter. It is easy to maintain and wash.
